Sarbari Gangopadhyay (Mukherjee) is a Hindustani Classical vocalist of the Rampur Sahaswan gharana, Dagar gharana & Khandarbani gharana. She is the granddaughter of Late Pandit Santosh Kumar Banerjee who was a well known Hindustani Classical singer. Sarbari got her initial training from her mother Smt. Minoti Mukherjee, a student of Chinmoy Chatterjee and Jyotileswar Mukherjee. She then learnt Khayal, Bhajan, Thumri, Tarana from Pandit Arun Bhaduri and Girija Devi at the Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata, India. She got trained in Dhrupad from Pandit Arun Bhattacharya, Smt.Kaberi Kar and Ustad Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar in the Guru Shishya parampara style in delhi. She also has training in Tabla from Pandit Samir Chatterjee.

Sarbari was the topper in the Higher Secondery Examination (Pre-degree) from RBU and received the medal/award from the governor of west bengal Dr Nurul Hassan.

Sarbari was the gold medalist in the Master's examinations in Music in Rabindra Bharati University. She is a scholar from West Bengal State Music Academy, Kolkata in Dhrupadh. She is a National Scholar (Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India) and has also received a grant from NADA in Los Angeles USA.

She is a recognized artist with regular performances in All India Radio and Doordarshan. She is a B.High Grade Artist of All India Radio. Sarbari got the prestigious title of 'Surmoni' from Mumbai, India in 1999 for her contribution to the tradition of Hindustani Classical music. She is a judge for the Sangeet Visharad® Exams in North America.

Sarbari released her first CD album 'Agomoni', a collection of Bengali devotional songs, in 2014. A collection of Hindustani classical bandish, 'Pushpanjali', was released in 2016.

Sarbari has composed and sung for several TV serials and got high recognition from connoisseurs of Indian Classical music for her stage performances in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Varanasi, Pune, Aurangabad and numerous other cities across India. She currently resides in Clarksville, Maryland USA and regularly gives Dhrupad, Khayal, Thumri, Tarana, Bhajan and Bengali semi Classical and devotional song performances across North America. Her performances in New York, New Jersey, Charlottesville, Texas, Northern Virginia and Maryland area have been greatly appreciated by audiences of all ages.

She is the founder Director of the Aradhana School of Music (Clarksville, Maryland) that propagates the learning of Hindustani Classical music. She teaches Hindustani Classical and light Classical music in the Maryland and Northern Virginia area. She trains kids and adults for online vocal training classes across the country.
